Trial Introductory Flights

Discover the excitement of flying a powered parachute with a trial introductory flight, perfect for those new to the sport or anyone looking to experience the thrill of flying with a qualified RAAus pilot as your guide. Your experience begins with a pre-flight briefing, where the instructor will cover safety procedures, explain the aircraft controls, and introduce you to the basics of piloting a powered parachute. Afterward, you’ll head to the runway for pre-flight checks, then strap in and prepare for takeoff. Once airborne, you can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding landscape, and if you choose, you’ll have the opportunity to take the controls and fly the parachute yourself. This trial flight will be your first entry in your Pilot Log Book, and if you decide to continue with lessons, it could mark the beginning of a lifelong passion for flying.

Important Information
LOCATION: We fly from White Gum Farm near York WA
RESTRICTIONS: Minimum age of 5 years old Maximum weight is 135kg.
WEATHER: Flying may need to be rescheduled, curtailed or cancelled or in extreme weather conditions which would make flying dangerous. You are required to contact us the day prior to your booking to confirm your flight.
IDEMNITY: All flyers will be required to fill out and sign an indemnity form (waiver) prior to flying.
SESSION TIMES: Bookings are available on Sat & Sun between sunrise - 9.00am in 1/2 hour timeslots. Please allow 1-1/2 hours for this experience.
DRESS CODE: Flying suits, gloves, helmets and an intercom are provided. You should be prepared for the weather conditions of an open cockpit and suggest participants wear long pants, a jacket, gloves, sunglasses, sunscreen and sturdy footwear.

Trial Training Flights

You’ll leave this experience with a sense of accomplishment, excitement, and a big smile. This flight offers a more hands-on experience, ideal for those who want to take control and experience piloting a powered parachute. If you're interested, you can continue your journey toward earning the RAAus Powered Parachute Pilot Certificate. This session includes all the elements of a trial introductory flight, but with additional air time and the opportunity to practice skills like touch-and-go landings. If you've ever considered owning a powered parachute or learning to fly, this is the perfect experience for you.
